Do you remember what you were doing last New Year’s Eve? Here, we’re transported to New York where the lives of several single people and couples of all ages intertwine. As he did with Valentine’s Day, director Garry Marshall manages to include a heap of Hollywood’s finest stars without wasting one shred of the talent that he’s got on-hand. New Year’s Eve explores the various stages of relationships, from the excitement of the first kiss to the relationship that may or may not be. We experience the ups and downs of romance as stars pop up around every corner including Hilary Swank whose character is co-ordinating the big dropping of the ball in Times Square, Ashton Kutcher who can’t stand New Year’s Eve as well as Robert De Niro who’s dying of cancer. |
