Few films are capable of really chilling you to the core and thatís exactly what Stoker excels at doing here. India (Mia Wasikowska) will never forget her 18th birthday Ė instead of celebrating her adulthood, sheís left to mourn the death of her loving father Richard (Dermot Mulroney) whose life is cut short by a tragic car accident. As a result, India is left with her rather unstable mother Evelyn (Nicole Kidman). Itís only at her fatherís funeral that India is introduced to Charlie (Matthew Goode), her well-travelled uncle. Soon after, Charlie announces that heíll be staying indefinitely in order to help support India and her mother. While her mother is delighted by Charlieís presence, India is suspicious of the mysterious yet charming man. And even though she avoids admitting it, India canít help but be fascinated by Charlie. Does he really have an ulterior motive or does India simply have a wild imagination? Rent Stoker and see!
