If ever a comedy duo was destined to be a match made in heaven, its Tina Fey and Steve Carell and the great news is that they dont disappoint as a husband and wife who schedule one night a week to themselves, away from their children. Usually, their dates consist of a quiet dinner or a movie but when Phil (Carell) and Claire (Fey) decide to break the monotony by visiting a trendy Manhattan bistro and taking on the identity of another couple in order to steal their reservation, they have no idea what theyre signing up for. Soon, their romantic evening turns into a dangerous adventure involving cops, gangsters and an ex-client of Claires (shes a real estate agent), Holbrooke (Mark Wahlberg) who prances around half-naked for the majority of the movie (and hey, with that bod, why not?). Yep, this is the kind of Date Night theyll never wish for ever again. |
