One great thing you can rely on some movies for is making you realise that your own life aint that bad after all, and Extract will definitely have that effect on you once youre through with it. In a role far removed from his character in Juno, Jason Bateman plays Joel, a guy who despite owning and running Reynolds Extract, a successful flavour-extract company, is frustrated because of the intimacy issues hes having with his wife. Joel finds solace in his best friend Dean (Ben Affleck) who suggests something a little left of field: Dean thinks Joel should hire a gigolo to seduce his wife so that he can have an affair without any guilt. At first, Joel is completely against the idea but thats until the cute and flirtatious Cindy (Mila Kunis) enters the picture. Suddenly, Joel finds himself entertaining all sorts of scenarios even though he cant overcome the fact that he loves his wife. |
