When you want to make a successful crime film, who better to cast than the masters of the trade?

Killing Them Softly features James Gandolfini (The Sopranos), Ray Liotta (Casino, Goodfellas) and, of course, Brad Pitt (The Mexican, Ocean's Eleven) in a vicious look at organised crime during the economic recession.

Brad Pitt, one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, needed no coercing to star in the movie. After working with Pitt previously, director Andrew Dominik texted Pitt, asking him if he was interested in the movie. Pitt replied "yes" and the casting was sorted over the course of 30 minutes.
