Iconic director Oliver Stone is a man who knows a good thing when he sees it. Stone was so confident that Savages would be a hit that he started working on the screenplay adaptation of the novel before the book was even published!

Not only had Stone started working on the script, he also dipped into his own pocket to fund the project. You've gotta love that kind of confidence.
