Hey Insiders,

Here we are in October, and Christmas is just over the horizon. This is traditionally when the really big movies start hitting the shelves, and we certainly have them this fortnight. We’ve got a great range of films to keep you entertained while you postpone your Christmas shopping (or if you want to make it easy, grab your gifts from your local Network store!)

We can’t kick off this week without mentioning our new favourite superhero, Iron Man. Robert Downey, Jr. is a revelation in the role, and the action scenes are simply phenomenal. If you want seat-of-your-pants action, you don’t need to look past the metal man. Speaking of kicking things off, Goal II takes you back onto the soccer pitch. Following emerging star Santiago Munez’s move to Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, Goal II is filled with cameos from your favourite soccer stars. Olé olé olé indeed!

We’ve got another sporting story with Leatherheads, starring the truly dreamy George Clooney (sorry Patrick Dempsey) and the very cool John Krascinski (from TV’s The Office) as gridiron team-mates; both of whom are trying to find love with the adorable Renée Zellweger. Who will make the touchdown on and off the field? And Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Quaid, Thomas Haden Church and the very adorable Ellen Page team up to become Smart People. But does intelligence really lead to happiness?

As you can see, we’ve got some great stuff for you this fortnight; and just take a peek at what’s around the corner: Sex and the City, The Incredible Hulk and What Happens in Vegas. Clear off the shopping list and find some time to put your feet up.

See you in-store.

Goal 2: Living The Dream
This sequel to 2006's Goal! The Dream Begins finds Santiago Munez established as a soccer success in Newcastle. But he soon jumps at the chance to play for Real Madrid with icons such as David Beckham. However, Santiago discovers that money and fame don't necessarily bring happiness as he loses himself and his relationship with Roz (Anna Friel).
When veteran football player Dodge Connolly (George Clooney) recruits war hero Carter “The Bullet” Rutherford, to aid the failing fortunes of his team, he gets far more than he bargains for. With Carter’s arrival comes the smart and sassy newspaper journalist Lexie Littleton (Renée Zellweger), who is tasked by her editor to uncover the dirt on Carter and the truth behind his war hero status!
Smart People
Professor Lawrence Wetherhold might be an intellectual giant, but when it comes to solving the conundrums of love and family, he’s as downright flummoxed as the next guy. He has alienated his son and turned his teenage daughter into an acid-tongued, friendless over-achiever. After a hit to the head he falls for doctor and former student, Janet. At the same time his freeloading, preposterously ne’er do well adopted brother unexpectedly shows up at his door, low on cash and needing a place to stay. The circumstances cause Lawrence to stir from his deep freeze.

The Incredible Hulk

What Happens In Vegas
Two strangers awaken together to discover theyve gotten married following a night of debauchery in sin city and that one of them has won a huge jackpot after playing the other's quarter. The newlyweds devise ever-escalating schemes to undermine each other and get their hands on the money, only to find themselves falling in love amid the mutual backstabbing.
